The Peregrine Falcon came back from near extinction when their habitats became protected from being destroyed. One of these efforts was in Morro Bay. The cliffs are perfect for the large falcon's nests and they now thrive in the area. These birds have been clocked at over a hundred miles an hour when diving for their food. These incredible hunters have huge, far-seeing eyes and beautifully distinctive markings making this bird a favorite of many people including me.
